To improve the resilience of our forests, is it enough to rely on an existing set of tree species or to introduce those that we hope will be better adapt to future climate conditions?
How can we respond to unforeseeable climatic phenomena in forest management?
To answer these and other questions, the European Forest Institute and the Integrate Network, in collaboration with the TRANFORMIT project, organized a webinar entitled "Forest ecosystem resilience through biodiversity: an insurance policy for nature in a changing".
The webinar will be on Zoom on July 3rd from 4.00pm to 5.30pm CEST.

The topics covered will be:
- how forest resilience can be defined and operationalized,
- the role of biodiversity in forests,
- what the potential trade-offs are and what forest decision-makers and practitioners can do to increase forest ecosystems resilience.
This will be done through the help of our 2 keynote speakers: Marcus Lindner (EFI) and Yoan Paillet (INRAE), as well as our 3 panellists from diverse implementation fields: Jurij Diaci (Slovenia), Serena Buscarini (Italy - Dream- Life GoProForMED) and Olive Leavy (Ireland).
